South Americans are naturally not suitable for EPL because they
are more of technical players.
West Ham was doing reasonably well before the signing of the
Argentinians. I was taken aback when they chose to sign for West
Ham when big clubs like United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid,
Barcelona, Inter Milan were all rumoured to be interested in them.
I thought West Ham could be serious title challengers but
wad-da-ya-know, they free-falled.
I think it's important to note that there's no point signing a
manager that has caused his previous club to relegate. Think
O'Leary, Dowie, Robson. It would make the club look really silly
when those managers sign 2nd/3rd choice players from big clubs
becos those players seriously suck. Think Djemba-Djemba, Traore,
Diomansy Kamara.
Cheers.
