UNITED MOVE NINE POINTS
CLEAR

Manchester United survived a nervy late spell to claim the
derby-day spoils against City and move nine points clear of Chelsea
at the Premiership summit.
United looked set to cruise home after Wayne Rooney (6) and Louis
Saha (45) had fired them into a comfortable first-half lead.
But Hatem Trabelsi's inspired effort breathed new life into the
contest 18 minutes from time, only for Cristiano Ronaldo to snuff
out any hope of a comeback late on.
City striker Bernardo Corradi ensured the recent diving debate
would continue when he was deemed to have gone to ground
deliberately in injury time, earning himself a second yellow card
to be sent off.

Rooney scored the first goal.
