ENGLAND keeper Chris Kirkland has joined Wigan on a permament
basis. Kirkland has signed a three-year deal at the JJB Stadium
after deciding he had no future at Liverpool. He was on loan at
Wigan from the Reds but has now joined Paul Jewell's side for
good.
Kirkland said: Ive been made to feel so welcome by everyone and
the permanent move was always my intention. "Im enjoying my
football at the moment and not setting any goals other than playing
well for Wigan, staying in the team and doing my best for the
gaffer and the lads.
Boss Jewell added: Chris is a world class keeper and a smashing
pro. "It was always our intention to make the deal permanent and
its great news that weve got it all sorted so quickly.
"His calibre has never been in question and hes been brilliant for
us since hes arrived. The competition is fierce and thats how I
like it..

KIRKLAND ... has left
Liverpool
Rafa seem to place too much faith in Jose Reina... I think letting
Kirkland go would be a mistake.
