ALAN CURBISHLEY has been targeted as West Hams new boss by the
consortium about to buy the club.
The group, headed by Kia Joorabchian, expects to complete the
£80million deal next week and wants Curbs to replace under-fire
manager Alan Pardew.
The Hammers have not won since the opening day of the season and
have just five points from eight games.
Pardew admitted after last Saturdays 2-0 loss at Portsmouth that
his job was on the line but there is a feeling around Upton Park
that he could resign.
And with the pressure mounting on and off the field the beleaguered
boss will be hoping for a sign of hope from tomorrows trip to
Tottenham.
However, while Iranian businessman Joorabchian was willing to give
Pards time to prove himself, a contingency plan to install
Curbishley has been hatched.
