Chris Sutton has been reunited with former Celtic boss Martin
O'Neill at Aston Villa.
The 33-year-old forward, who can also operate in central defence,
has been a free agent since being released by Villa's arch-rivals
Birmingham at the end of last season but has now agreed a deal
which keeps him at Villa Park until the end of the current
campaign.
Sutton began his career with Norwich before making what was then a
British record £5million move to Blackburn, where he won a
Premiership title in 1995.
He moved to Chelsea for £10million in July 1999 but the move to
west London proved a flop and he switched to Celtic, where he was a
key part of the successful O'Neill era at Parkhead.
Sutton has scored 195 goals in 498 league and cup career
appearances, with 86 goals scored in 185 starts at Celtic.
