bangkokboy SG Finally back after a long month of work... damn I love Bangkok haha. Do look me up if you guys do come to Bangkok.
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG sawadee krap~ i'm heading there next month! 11-15 i hope the ladies won't stay indoors or go back to their towns
bangkokboy SG OMG. I think most of them will be heading back home. Firstly it is the students' summer holidays plus it's the Songkran period... Almost all the students I know will be back home. Bangkok will still be happening nonetheless, do head for Khao San road during the Song Kran festival for some crazy water mayhem!
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG Question, on the 13th (1st day of Songkran), what's a good time to head and best transport to Khao San? I was thinking 11am by boat from Petchaburi to Phra Arthit not sure if the boat from Petchaburi goes all the way there wikipedia says to take from BTS Saphan Taksin
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG bkkboy, i need help on this too. is there a bus terminal at mo chit where i can take a bus to khao san?
bangkokboy SG Hi, Mmh there's bound to be a massive traffic jam at Khao San Road. Normally I would just drop off nearby and take a walk to Khao San. Not advisable to attempt to ask the taxi to enter that area... Or you can attempt something dumb which I did last time... I took a tuk-tuk and was wet even before I reached Khao San. Anyway regarding the boat ride, yes the station is Saphan Taksin.
bigmouthjoe SG There is a bus terminal at Mo Chit, however that bus terminal is not easily assessible. Will you be going to Khao San with your friends? If yes I think taxi is the best option... (reason being I not sure about the bus number lol) Anyway I will help you to ask around.
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG its the red bus, number 2. i'll be going with 6 others, so that makes the group 7. i think i'll take the boat. on the map, the mo chit interchange seems far from any station.
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG eh, before i head into kao san. where to get waterguns? anyway i'll be going by boat, but the ferry service stops at 5pm. if our trip ends anytime after 5pm, i'll have to start cracking my brains on how to get back!!
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG bkkboy, maybe september have a trip to grungtheb. maybe during that time u can intro us, nakrian withalayu
bangkokboy SG Hi guys, Regarding the waterguns, no worries about that as it is readily available anywhere. Even on Soi Khao San and the surrounding areas. Mmh Mo Chit is indeed the furthest station, as it is the last station on the BTS train network. I think you might want to consider taking a cab from your hotel as the red bus cost about 7baht per person, and you risk missing the stop. Anyway regarding the Nuk Rean withayalai, most of them are back home during this season and will only be back after their summer break. Haha feel free to PM me, but I'm more familiar with the ratchada, sukhumvit and siam area. Take care and hope you have fun!
ratchadapisek(soi17) SG no problem i'll get your contact once its near september. they should be back from their summer break by then
