Fire Blast requires a Magic level of 59
to be cast and can do a maximum of 16 damage per spell. In free-to-play, it is the most powerful
spell, and is commonly used for PvP minigames such as Clan Wars,
Duel Arena,
Bounty
Hunter, and Fist of
Guthix.
It is not unusual to see low leveled pure players (Around level
40 combat) being capable of casting fire blast, as these players
are pure mages, with melee combat and range skills at level 1
(Probably not so for defence) and relatively high Hitpoints.
