Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has dismissed reports
suggesting Jose Mourinho could quit the club at the end of the
season.
Widespread reports last weekend suggested Mourinho was considering
his future at Chelsea with suggestions that relations between
Mourinho, Kenyon and Roman Abramovich were strained.
Reports also claimed Chelsea were lining up a move for Dutchman
Guus Hiddink to replace Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho has also been linked with a possible switch to Real
Madrid, but Kenyon insists there is no truth in the reports.
"That is an old story (about firing the Mourinho) that is being
rerun at the moment. I think that is probably because we are six
points behind Manchester United," said Kenyon.
"Such is the intensity in England for news. But there is absolutely
no truth."
