The Los Angeles city attorney's
office says James Blunt will not be charged for allegedly driving
over someone's foot in February.
"After review of the information provided, we have decided not to
file charges at this time," said city attorney spokesman Frank
Mateljan. The man's claim that Blunt ran over his foot after a
party at Bel-Air Estates on Feb. 24 was investigated by police. But
Blunt publicist Sheila Richman said the British rocker and his car
were "swarmed by paparazzi" and that he was "trying to navigate his
car through all of the people" at "2 mph," the Los Angeles Times
reported Saturday.

British pop star James Blunt was reportedly involved in a car
incident in Los Angeles in which a man was injured outside of a
pre-Oscar party.
Police did not specify what Blunt's role was in the Saturday
accident, but did say that he was not injured, People magazine
reported.
All I can do is confirm that James Blunt was involved in a traffic
accident in which a man's foot was run over, said Officer Norma
Eisenman. Police were called to the house of Creative Artists
Agency agent Bryan Lourd in Los Angeles to aid the unidentified man
