psp- strange startup, prompt to quit game?

hi, i have been having some issue with my psp slim.

1) it takes donky years to start my psp.. it would go to the main screen displaying the wallpaper and remain there for a min or two. then it display "the disk could not be read" before it displays the start up screen

2) whenever i'm playing a game, it will prompt me "Do you want to quit the game"

re-install your firmware. or upgrade it if you using one that's long ago.

okie im pretty noob about this, pls spare me some time here..

how do i go about reinstalling firmware?? where do i check the current version of my firmware. and if so, where do i download this firmware and re-install it.

system setting - system information. that's your firmware.
google hellcat's recovery flasher v1.41. download it, follow it.

Sorry, maybe you can define what do you mean by "anything else" for others to answer your question easily. Do list your current firmware too.

i contacted the company and they said for 2) whenever i'm playing a game, it will prompt me "Do you want to quit the game", im suppose to change the button for 30 bucks. is the button the real cause of it?? or is it the system problem??

current fireware is 3.80 m33-5

re-install first, if that doesnt solve your problem. then bring it to shops.

my psp will sometimes go into the mode when you press the home button when playing games...it gets on my nerves...espesially when you're fightin a boss or something..
