HELP IN PURCHASING NEW PSP SLIM!

to all bros out here,

as stated above.. i need help in getting some valuable information before making my purchase on a psp.

after reading forums and etc, i realise that quite a few ppl tio con so i would like to avoid that.

1) Before buying, what are the recommended shops i should visit? (pls do not include SLS)

2) Why shop tell me that their PSP seal had to be open? Is this reliable if they open the box already? Or can i request for a unopened box.

3) How to tell if shop is selling off refurbished set and telling you that its brand new?

4) And roughly how much more will they charge if i want to mod to 'you know what'

Most important info for me would be points 2 and 3 because i would not want to buy a 'used' psp which the shop owner would claim its brand new.

coz they're not sony and they have to open it to check that everything is inside first.....

1) AMK Hub's Funzcentre is by far the best shop I know of.

2) You can request for an unopened one. Opened ones are less trusted.

3) Check the warranty seal at the battery compartment. [Ask the person to show you the seal if you don't know where it is.]

4) Actually, you can modify the firmware yourself. Read sticky topics on this forum dude.

Actually nowadays its difficult to tell refurbished from brand brand brand new. Hope it answers your question.

Just to add on: Remember to check for Original Memory Sticks. Fakes are easily available widely.

i bought mine via qisahn. i think its quite a reliable source
