Chaotic is an understatement! This is where the airport EACP merge with the airlines own Crisis Handing Procedures as well as their BCP ( business Continuity Plan ).which is why in Singapore ,there is one crash/crisis exercise every year.

Biman nose gear collapsed during an aborted t/off, Hard braking. ( Rare )..ANA Q400 nose gear refused to deploy. The pilots did very well keepin the acft straight n streamlined plus a gradual drop of e nose. It's what known as a controlled "crash."

Reminds me of e quote abt good vs great vs excellent landing.

last year a biman A310 also had problems at WSSS. seemed like the brakes caught on fire n frie engines on within a min.. i was working there at the time and it was at least stuck on the taxiway for over 6 hrs.

I am curious as to how/why the nosegear collapsed during the heavy braking that followed the rejected take-off. I seem to recall that part of the certification process for an airliner included demonstrating that it was capable of coming safely to a stop after a rejected take-off at V1 with the airliner at maximum take-off weight (MTOW), with maximum wheel braking and no thrust reversers deployed.

(From the pictures, it doesn't look like the nosegear collapse was caused by overrunning the runway.)

Exactly!! U got my point..tat's is why I said " ( rare)..
mayb he pulled handbrake..oops, parking brake during the RTO & want to do a " tokyo " drift?..
Usually for A310 or most commercial airlines, once u select RTO, u only need firm pressure on brakes( rubber tops ) n the RTO system, anti skid will take over.
