Well you need to have at least 5 passes in O level, but it really doesn't hurt to try and apply. You can even try to talk to the GM if you're desperate enough.

If you're lucky enough to get into the interview stage, just give it your all and impress the interviewers.

If that doesn't work, you can try applying to the Republic of Singapore Flying Club. There are always options available Wink

Not entirely free, you still have to pay for course materials like the t-shirt, handbook and ground school notes. Total is around $40 plus only. The rest is subsidised.

if you're in IP/IB they'll take you in straight away, but if not its rather hard sometimes, cuz they take people in with the objective of grooming future pilots for the RSAF, and RSAF pilot entry qualifications require at least A levels or a poly diploma, hence you require o levels now to show that you will get at least either of these qualifications in the future.

Now currently pursuing my Diploma in Electronics Engineering...

Is there any chance is it possible after my graduation if i do sign on 10 for the Air Force Programme... Will i be accepted due to my diploma...Or O' level is an important Pre-Requiste ?

P.S: I Don't have an O level Cert...But ITE Cert...

if you're signing on for RSAF and you have your diploma its should be no problem at all, but dunno about syfc. But if you're in a poly already they should accept you.

Haha Yea...but How about GPA ? Will they see your grade ?

Being a Pilot...Ask those around me...They tell me its like Near Impossible to be one... Sad

syfc or air force? syfc i'm not sure, you might have a bit of problem, but for air force, if you have a diploma and can qualify for a local uni, it would be no problem to apply.

Yup the air force only bothers to look at your diploma, but for the case of SYFC they do actually check your sec school grades so there's your problem there. But I think you might be able to appeal. If you actually get into the YFC, becoming a pilot would be more smooth sailing.

Yep

If you sign up for the Air Force and have a PPL (obtainable from the YFC) you can skip the one month air grading course.

oh…course 138. There are few of your coursemates still here in PPL now if i’m not wrong =) hahaha. i flew with Chua BS a few times, he was alright la. Though i’ve seen him give really low grades to some people before
