Fav bands anyone?

Airbus330Captain SG

Have you got hold of AAA's new album ? It's call All , supposed to released yesterday officially. The song champagne Gold is rocks !

I am actually more into female artists singers like Ayumi Hamasaki , Hitomi Shimatani , BOA, Goto Maki ..etc

Pity there is no Japanese / Korean music station in Singapore, we could do with one .

used SG

there can jam on the second floor but priority will be given to the bands which are going to perform.

monkeybusiness SG

i just downloaded it a few days ago
winter lander and mikansei are my current favourite now Very Happy

goto maki is very sexy..her mvs are all so sexy Embarassed

last time my friend and i created a japanese entertainment forum over here...but due to lack of response, it slowly lost its appeal and disappeared Neutral Laughing

mookieslastchristmas SG

lolx..Ill make u a mod..

Airbus330Captain SG

Yes, I noticed that. The interest of Japanese/Korean music is very small over here, no point opening a forum here. I was thinking of setting up a Singapore japanese music group ( yahoo )perhaps for discussions , sharing of stuffs and even outings. I feel outings for a group with common interest is very meaningful.

What do you think ?

monkeybusiness SG

me?? a mod??
thanx for the offer but no thanx Laughing

mookieslastchristmas SG

woah .. for a pilot. u really have a high interest for music.Typically japanese. Is there any sorta music player or sumthing at the cock pit?lol hehes.stupid airbus A380 delayed again!long wires stretched up till malaysia.

monkeybusiness SG

yup
its a nice idea. However, among my so many friends, only a small minority( perhaps only 2 or 3) listen to Jrock or Jpop...its a difficult task Rolling Eyes

We can organise an outing if there's sufficient people...however, it doesn't seem to be the case Neutral

monkeybusiness SG

woah...i am a mod here Laughing
but i must say this first: I only listen to Jpop or Jrock
I dunno anything outside these 2

mookieslastchristmas SG

u can be a mod at this two categories cause i myself do not noe ..hehe that's the reason i made u mod. cause i can't entertain those who have the passion and interest in ur field.and me mine is way over my league.

Airbus330Captain SG

Actually , there are a number of Singaporeans who are into Jpop or Jrock in other forums , if I can just get them to join the yahoo group and also to increase the popularity of Japanese pop and rock music , the group may expand bigger and faster as you thought.

I tried this on my former forum 'Singapore buses' and it worked. I believed Japanese music has the potential to make it big in Singapore.

monkeybusiness SG

ok i will try my best Laughing

mookieslastchristmas SG

it would.. but ther other fraction of singaporean population are into american and some are into local bands.

Airbus330Captain SG

Haha, not really a pilot but commercial airliners is another hobby of mine. I love the A330s very much especially the A330-200 series !

Airbus has changed their CEO and they had been winning a fair few of orders, most importantly Qantas and SQ actually signed up a few more A380s ! SQ has shocked the aviation industry by signing a LOL ( Letter of Intent ) on purchasing 20 + 20 A350-900s !

monkeybusiness SG

sure Wink
its like making a comeback after Japanese music died down in singapore in the 90s Laughing

monkeybusiness SG

x2
and also not forgetting taiwanese Laughing

asdfzhao SG

Rolling Eyes
might not be that good.
there is a very wide selection of jap/korean music,
korean music is usually pop, but jap, u have j-pop, j-rock, j-hip hop. the selections very wide...

on second hought, if the forum can have the oricon charts every week, it would be pretty good... Very Happy

mookieslastchristmas SG

dis is turning out to be a topic starter .and a hot debate.

Airbus330Captain SG

You don't try you never know.

Once upon a time , I was into US/UK music but when I started listening to J-pop for the first time, it took me 2-3 weeks to completely convert. Actually it all depends on one's passion.

asdfzhao SG

there are not a lot of active mainstream taiwanese bands though... Sad
