Here is my point.

If we could understand spiderman, would spiderman then be spiderman?

How do people know what is written in religious book are correct?
Because they are written by those that God has spoken to.

Under extreme skeptism, nothing much can be absolutely proven.... Moreover, 'God' is still under a GREY area today.

It's like trying to tell people that fire is combustion and not god... Today, it's EASY.... Too many years ago, it would have been VERY DIFFICULT... No matter how WELL you know your FACTS...

The reason why we say that is because we do not put ourselves at the level of God. To do so is foolish, because we cannot see things from His way. He is on a much higher level than us, in the way that fishes cannot comprehend what we are telling them.

And this part:

actually this question ' DO GOD EXIST ' came to my mind before. Someone gave me an ans but i m still having my doubt.. But my bottomline is, weather god exist or not, life still goes on. Is a matter on how u see things. If u believe there is 1 there will be 1, if u dont then there wont be any. Wads the point of arguing weather GOD exist when we dont even know do our own soul exist?

your analogy is fallacious. If we cannot see things his way, then why are people trying to understand god if you already say we cannot see things his way? Why are people talking about god and his teachings as if they understand god? These are contradictory statments.

Further to January's last post, if you say that we cannot understand god, but god chose to reveal his truth to us, how do you know what that truth is?

If god is indeed perfect, he chose possibly the most imperfect way to let us know his will. He gave us holy books over which endless rivers of blood have been shed over differences in interpretation.

If the truth is obvious, why do you have to be taught what your holy book means? Why do you pick and choose lessons from your holy book? Why are there so many denominations, all of which claim to have the 'true' meaning of the holy book?

We are trying to understand His teachings. But we can never fully understand them. Anyone who claims to comprehend God completely is most likely lying. There still is much debate about the Scriptures, and that probably goes to show that full understanding cannot be achieved.

Now, the question "What is truth?" has been asked by the likes of many philosophers in antiquity and throughout history. Truth is relative, yet facts are absolute.

Blood has been shed over the Scriptures exactly because we are human. Humans have a self-serving bias when it comes to anything to do with belief. Atheists are not exempt, even if an "Atheist Revolution" has yet to occur. We divide ourselves because of the way we see things.

I do agree that humans have a self-serving bias. However, if we are to attempt to overcome that self-serving bias, it seems that nothing could be more capricious that basing your beliefs on an ancient book.

We may disagree on how we interpret science but as you said, facts are absolute. The scientific method is the best way to determine what those facts are.

Ancient writings were written by men. Men who are far more fallible than you and I because of their vastly more limited understanding. And while I concede our understanding is still limited, it far exceeds what was known in those ancient days.
