Believe in God is good what. Whether God exists or not, as long as you believe you will reap the benefits and the rewards for believing.

Every time anything good happens you can point to God

Every time anything bad happens you can point to Satan or you can say "It is the Will of God"

Like that you will always have a good reason for everything that ever happens to you or whatever that happens to the world.

i learn how to self reflect on my own mistake and not to commit the same old mistake again.

If i go and cry out to god, each time, waiting for him to show me the way or the solution, why did he give us, the gift - free will, in the first place?

i thank god for his grace that his word has kept me in place each time, i feel lonely or worry or sad - thats what the bible is for

Probably if you type your topic, why should i choose to believe in God?

As god give us the gift - free will, the ablility to choose, the ability to think freely, or should we blame adam and eve for eating the forbidden fruit,( which i still wonder, today, what is the type of fruit), since we now, possess the gift, to able to judge - let those who never sin, throw the first stone, then why is it, we as human being, still unable to determine, what is right, or wrong, at this very moment of time.

I could think of endless topic that lead to this very question - why should we put our faith in God?

i am apalled by what you say. if you try to explain think in terms of god and satan, then you are straying away from self accountability.

a child fares badly for his exam, he should look at how he can improve and be more studious for the next test. he does not think: "god must have a reason for making me fare badly in test" or "satan make me get poor result"

its always easy for people to give reasons. If you are satisifed when you have many reasons but none of it is right, the truth will eventually catch up with you.

In working world, people make decisions, and there are explanation and reasons. wrong reason will lead to bad decision.

i would like to emphasie that there is no God, Satan or heaven in reality. i would do my part to educate god-believers.

the reasons why i dun believe in god is because it waste my precious time. atheist believe that with the information and evidence we have so far, there is no clue that points to us that there are more than a single life you or me have.

therefore, we know that life is limited and precious. praying to God or going to sunday churchs does not change the fact that there is no life after death and there is no god. therefore, it is a waste of time.

a sunday morning will be therefore better used to spend time with you friends/ family, to read a book, to prepare a nice cup of coffee or any other hobbies you like.

are you not looking at "reality". Sure, pure reasoning is good, but how many can many do that? How many can many achieve that?

If you tell children, you must behave like adults... aren't you the one delusional then?

Children will be children. When they are children, you give them some rules to follow and you don't expect them to use pure reasoning do you?

Sure, the belief might be false, but if the beliefs lead to good, why do you care? Why don't you encourage it even?

That is your opinion, that "FOR YOU" it is a waste of time... sure, if you think that it is a waste of time, don't go. If is it helpful and even affirming for believers to attend and believe, why would you want to stop them? You need to come up with better reasons why they should not go.

I want them to know that it is pointless to pray and go church because there is no heaven and no one is going heaven or hell. Of course, they can go church every sunday, meet friends and sing songs in praise and be happy for the rest of their life.

but i want them to know that if they think that doing this will land a place in heaven, they are wrong.

My point is, so what if they are wrong? I am sure that you are wrong about many things as well except that you do not know about it.

You have to give people an alternative. You have to explain why even though it is good for them to believe, there is a better way. Otherwise they will feel so lost. They give up their beliefs and end up with "nothing". It can be very scary for them.

So what is it that you offer?

You dun need religion to be a good person. If you convince them that there is god and there is no god, then they will have to waste them seeking for truth and realizing that actually his belief are wrong and have to rectify them.

You must teach people the true and right reason why we should not harm or kill or create violent because of the true reason and the real repercusion of this acts in society, not because God will dislike you and punish you.

well, changes usually is done in steps. not in abrupt manner. they can start by first reading books on philosophy and try to see how a no-God world might be reasoable after all.

You said, "so what if they are wrong?" if you have wrong beliefs, it means your actions and behavior are wrong, because actions and behavior stems from our attitude and beliefs. if your behavior and actions are wrong, they they will not work in reality and you will not achieve the correct things for yourself.

For example, if people attend church because they want to got to heaven but the truth is that there is no heaven, then they could have done other things if they realize that their belief is wrong. their action may then change to going out with friends to orchard road or talking with family or plan any other things they like and want. Their sunday will therefore not be restrict to having to go to church. their option are wider. They are free.

Why change at all? Let them be... let them think that there is a God that is a Police Officer that is constantly out to catch them... good for the rest of us right?

Just because they have the wrong beliefs does not necessarily lead to wrong actions... it could very well lead to right actions... it only they really believe and love others as much as themselves... which all the main religions teach...
