Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey
admits he will have 'mixed emotions' when he returns to Cardiff
City in the FA Cup fourth-round tie on Sunday.
Ramsey left the Bluebirds in the summer, signing for Premier
League side Arsenal for a fee in the region of £5million.
The Welshman's last appearance for Cardiff came in the FA Cup
final, when the Championship side suffered heartache against
Portsmouth at Wembley.
Ramsey is poised to start at Ninian Park this weekend, and,
while he has fond memories of his time in the Welsh capital, he is
now focused on lifting silverware with the Gunners.
"Cardiff was a big part of my life. I was there for a long
time," the 18-year-old told Arsenal's official
website.
"I came through the youth system there and went on to get into
the first team, so it will be mixed emotions for me on Sunday - but
I am an Arsenal player now and I want to win the game."
Ramsey added: "I had a good cup run with Cardiff, getting to the
final last year, so that was a great experience for me.
"This season for Arsenal, I started the match against Plymouth
in the last round and we got through, so I think the FA Cup has
been good to me so far.
"Hopefully, I will get another chance to play on Sunday, show
what I can do and stake my claim for a place in the team, and I can
get to the final with Arsenal this year."
