Manager Arsène Wenger says that his team has come through another
test of character after recovering twice against champions
Manchester United to salvage a point.
Wenger's charges went down first to a goal from Wayne Rooney in
first half stoppage time, before Francesc Fabregas equalised in the
second half.
Cristiano Ronaldo gave Untied the lead again with eight minutes to
go, before captain William Gallas equalised again for the Gunners
in first half stoppage time.
Wenger said: "Our character was tested twice.
"Just before half time and with eight minutes to go.
"Overall though, I believe it was a fair result. We played with the
handbrake on in the first half, though, and we lacked our usual
flowing game."
"That is a disappointment [not to take all three points].
"But on the other hand I am pleased that in two big games we had to
run after the score and we did that both times.
"We are still in charge of the title race because we are top with a
game in hand."
