Cesc Fabregas has played down talk of a summer move to Barcelona,
but the Arsenal midfielder has added weight to the debate by
admitting he enjoys playing alongside Camp Nou stars Xavi and
Andres Iniesta.
Fabregas career has blossomed since he left Barcelona for Arsenal
as a teenager, but he has never hidden his desire to return to his
native land at some stage.
Real Madrid are admirers of the midfield star, but reports over the
weekend suggested Barca were readying a huge bid to lure him to
Catalunya.
Barca sporting director Txiki Beguristain suggested it would be
difficult to sanction paying a huge sum for a player who left the
club as a teenager.
And Fabregas was giving nothing away on whether he would welcome a
return to Barca, despite admitting he is a fan of Xavi and
Iniesta.
It is very easy to play alongside Andres Iniesta and Xavi because
we are from the same academy and see the game in the same way,
Fabregas told El Mundo Deportivo.
Replying to questions on whether he would like to play with the
pair next term, Fabregas added: Honestly I dont know.
Fabregas was probed on whether his Spain colleagues had been urging
him to return to Barca.
If they had been saying that I wouldnt reveal it to you, he
quipped.
Why the hell cant he say " no i'm
not going anywhere" ?! is he trying to act like thierry? im
pissed.
