Arsenal captain William Gallas has declared himself very happy with
manager Arsene Wengers decision to remain at Emirates Stadium for
a further three years.
Gallas joined The Gunners last season from London rivals Chelsea
and quickly established himself as a starter alongside central
defender Kolo Toure.
The France international was handed the captains armband in the
summer as replacement for Thierry Henry, ahead of Gilberto
Silva.
Gallas believes his managers commitment to his club is a big boost
for his young team-mates and a positive sign for the all
players.
Its encouraging, especially for the young players, Gallas told
his personal website.
Arsene Wenger is a great listener, he let us express ourselves,
and believe me, its a chance for us to have such a great coach who
gives you that kind of freedom.
For instance, he will never blame you if you miss a pass or have
poor ball control.
He knows we can take care of ourselves, and his way of coaching
has a big influence on our style of play.
I can speak about the group [as a captain], but the coach is fully
involved and committed so he doesnt need advice from me.
