Keith Edelman is confident Russian billionaire Alisher
Usmanov is not planning a takeover of Arsenal.
Usmanov's Red and White Holdings group increased its stake in The
Gunners in the week to 23 per cent, fuelling suggestions of an
impending takeover.
Edelman, along with chairman Peter Hill-Wood, met the group's
joint-owner Farhad Moshiri on Friday and the Arsenal managing
director has been encouraged by the talks.
He believes Usmanov is not eyeing an outright bid for the club and
does not envisage any boardroom changes at Emirates Stadium in the
foreseeable future.
