OWEN OUT FOR MAGPIES
Poland goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski looks set to make his debut in
one of several changes by the Gunners.
Lassana Diarra is in line for his first start, while Nicklas
Bendtner and Emmanuel Eboue are also in contention.
Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce will be without striker Michael Owen
and defender Claudio Cacapa for the Carling Cup third-round trip to
Arsenal.
Both men were due to undergo scans on groin injuries on Monday
after limping out of the 3-1 Barclays Premier League victory over
West Ham.
Mark Viduka is expected to be fit after picking up a minor knock,
but Joey Barton (fractured metatarsal), Emre and Peter Ramage (both
knee), Damien Duff (ankle) and Stephen Carr and Celestine Babayaro
(both hamstring) are still out.
