Arsene Wenger has vowed to
stay at Arsenal for next season.
The Frenchman's future, along with that of several players, has
been the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks.
The departure of Wenger's close ally David Dein in April raised
doubts over his future at Emirates Stadium.
However, Wenger insists he will be at Arsenal next season as he
still has one more year left on his contract.
"I have a contract for one more year here and I will complete that
contract," Wenger told the News of the World.
"I have never broken a contract in my entire career and I will not
break a contract now. So I can tell you categorically that I will
be at the club next season.
"And next summer I will sit down with the board and see."
Wenger also insists there is no need to panic despite growing
rumours over Thierry Henry's future.
A number of top clubs across Europe are eagerly watching Henry's
developments as the striker has hinted he is unsure of his
long-term future.
Wenger says he will not rush into the transfer market to bolster
his side as he only wants to bring in top players.
"There's absolutely no need to panic. We finished fourth in the
table - level on points with Liverpool - and we have a very young
side which, I believe, can improve again this season," added
Wenger.
"We will bring in new people only if they are exceptional
players."
