Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas
says he will use the summer break to recharge his
batteries.
The 19-year-old has made more appearances than anyone else for
Arsene Wenger's side this season - 46 in all competitions.
But his performances have not suffered, earning the midfielder
nominations for the PFA Player and Young Player of the Year
awards.
However, as the season draws to a close the Spanish international -
an ever present for Arsenal in the Premiership this season - has
picked up a virus making him a doubt for Saturday's North London
derby at Tottenham.
Fabregas admits he has enjoyed playing such a key role this season,
but is looking forward to taking a break so he can come back even
stronger next season.
"For the last three years now I have been playing about 60 games a
season, including international matches," said the Arsenal
star.
"For me that is great, because it means I have been fortunate with
injuries and I feel fine physically, which is very important.
"This season there has been an extra pressure because there have
not been as many occasions when the boss could rest me, but I am
more than happy to play as many games as possible.
"I will get away in the summer. I will go somewhere with my
girlfriend, and also away for a break with my friends. The main
plan is to rest.
"We have got a couple of qualifiers with Spain in early June, but
after that what I will do is rest, rest, rest and rest.
"I will have my feet up on a beach somewhere and hopefully be ready
to start fresh and strong next season."
