The return from suspension of
striker Emmanuel Adebayor has come as a relief to Arsenal chief
Arsene Wenger.
Adebayor has been forced to sit out Arsenal's last four games
having picked up a lengthy ban for his part in a brawl during the
Carling Cup final.
Wenger's attacking options have been limited in recent weeks due to
injuries to Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie and he is happy to
have the Togo striker back at his disposal for the final nine games
of the Premiership season.
"It is important for us," Wenger told it's TV ahead of Saturday's
clash with Liverpool.
"With the number of strikers we have out, his presence, physical
ability and penetration power means it is good to have him
back.
"We have been punished very hard with Adebayor so it is a relief to
have him with us again."
Arsenal sit in third, a point ahead of Liverpool, and can reinforce
their claims for a UEFA Champions League berth with a win at
Anfield.
