Toure -
Versatile Gilberto excelled in defence
Kolo Toure has praised the performances of Gilberto at centre
back.
The Brazilian, normally a midfielder, has ended the last three
games alongside the Ivorian at the heart of the Arsenal defence.
Wenger was so confident in Gilbertos ability in that role that he
even started with him there at Bolton on Wednesday.
Speaking exclusively to Arsenal.com, Toure backed his
judgement.
Gilberto is a really clever player with a lot of experience, he
said. He did really well against Middlesbrough and Wigan.
If you are a good player in the middle then you can play at the
back. Gilberto has ability, is good in the air and he a mature
player too
It is good for the team because we have versatile
players."
