In case you're wondering why I hang out here, though I don't do much photography or any graphic/cartoon drawing, this is what I do:

They're my own designs, and I have several more in my room, which is why I'm so rat-arsed about other people stealing them. Wink

Comments are most welcome. This is the body of a high-performance estate car I'm working on, so it's got all sorts of vents and sculpting, but I integrated the bodykit into a neat package. The high door sills are deliberate.

u might want to redesign the side mirrors to make it more proportional to the whole car. would also look better to have the roof higher and have more curve lines with the rear doors. Wink

Just one comment.

Your color usage of watermark distracts the viewers from looking at your linework.
I don't know if it's only for me, the watermark kept my eyes from your work as a whole. It could also because it's overpowering your work(since the text is huge)
People have the tendency to focus on the watermark text since we look at what we're familiar first.

Hope you'll consider?

If you are paranoid about pple stealing your designs, you may want to consider protecting them by registering a copyright....... Very Happy

I'll seriously consider a better way of protecting my work if I know of one. Creative Commons seems to be applicable only to websites. Neutral

Like Ito have mentioned. It is not difficult to take the 'watermark' away.
If i would make it troublesome for others to copy my works.

1 I'll try drawing on black paper with white grids / the reverse.
2 Or add gridlines(from PS layers) onto your work so that others find it tedious to remove them.
3 Post in considerably small sized images. (post relatively large images of 'area of focus' if needed)
4 watermark need not be huge, to be visible. Watermark can be small so much that it reminds unnoticed. The 'thief' will not know what trouble he's landing himself into.

What are you problems you've faced? If you don't mind, maybe you can share your experience and hopefully, people here can suggest the possiblities you haven't thought of?

The fear of getting these things stolen and passed off as someone else's stems from paranoia. Embarassed I've actually put other small things into it as well to mark it as my own.

Yeah, not having Photoshop program might post a problem.

What program did you use to make your watermark? Maybe it could do much more for you. Wink

Yeah, i understand the need to protect your work. It'll be better if you post in smaller image size, so that 'thieves' will have a harder time to copy your works.

Then again, if you're going to post your works in the virtual world.
It's more or less a risk.

p.s If you need suggestions from other design forums from overseas. I can suggest some which gives solid advices.

You can try using Gimp as a free alternative.

I will need to dig out some sites for those watermarks thingy, if you want them to be big. They can be transparent so that it won't distract the audiences from the drawing.

Creative Commons license is actually for nearly everything, depending on what you are doing. Art work not so sure, I've never seen an art piece that's under this license.

Creative Commons definitely seems like it's for websites because the other person(s) using a piece of work will reference to a website, which also is using the CC license.
