Chicken with many heads and wings

My Beijing tourguide told me that Beijing people do not like to eat chicken wings. They buy and eat whole chicken instead.

The reason is in China (rumour....) , chickens are bred to have many heads and wings, so as to sell these parts many times over.

Urgh... Mr. Green I like chicken wings. Are the ones sold in Singapore, and those imported from Brazil, ... safe?
