Xiaozzhen SG For the first time in my life, I made a cheese cake today which I first ate 12 years ago. It was then made by a neighbour. It was delicious, and still is, today. Here's the recipe: Non Bake pineapple cheesecake 200g digestive biscuits 125g butter 1 tin pineapple 2 blocks Philadelphia Cream cheese 200ml light sour cream 6 tsp gelatine 6 tbsp fine raw sugar 1) Pound biscuit in a plastic bag til fine and mix with butter. Then press into baking tin and put in the fridge. 2) Beat cream cheese til smooth and gradually add the sugar and continue beating. 3) Add in light sour cream into mixture and beat lightly. 4) Cut pineapple into small pieces and together with juice, boil it. 5) Put in gelatine and mix in (2) & (3). 6) When slightly cool, pour over the biscuit and cool. 7) Chill overnight for better results and taste. Enjoy it. We did.
Xiaozzhen SG What, of my cheesecake? sorry, they are all out of the digestive system already. Mayb the next time I make it again. Not much to look at, but so shiok to eat. Next time, I'll put more wheat in the digestive biscuits. Sugar is already on the low side. I don't recommend artifical sweeteners though. Although sugar is unhealthy, artifical sweeteners are BAD. For those who like to be a little unhealthy, replace the low fat sour cream to thickened cream or a tin of nestle cream.
Xiaozzhen SG Thank you, Deadpoet. The steps are right at the beginning. I am repeating. Which part u want me to elaborate??? >>>>> 1) Pound biscuit in a plastic bag til fine and mix with butter.
DeadPoet SG I am referring to the photos of the steps. Maybe it is just me, but when I am search for new cookbooks I usually look for those with photos on the steps.
Xiaozzhen SG Oh yes, I love cookbooks with lots of pictures. If they look yummy, I'll try cooking it. P/s; My blog is not cookbook.
Xiaozzhen SG Your blog is great too. Can teach me how to do the beautiful side links with the cursive writing? Txs
Xiaozzhen SG More people in Singapore should take care more care of their health. Go to http://www.myheart.org.sg to see if you are one of the statistics. Good Luck and take care
Xiaozzhen SG Yesterday, I made another pineapple cheesecake. We finished the whole lot ( it's a big cheesecake) yesterday. Me, one adult n two 10 and 12 year old children. This time, I added wheat (6tbsps) into the digestive biscuits and gave it a good mix. If the biscuit base does not stick well, mix with some milk. Add slowly and a little at a time. You don't want a sloggy base. Have you tried it? It is time to make one. It is so delicious and not too sweet.
