The man who created Tintin is turning 100 on 22nd May 2007.
Herge, a.k.a Georges Remi was born in Ettenbreek, Belgium on 22 May
1907. Herge grew up in Brussels and drew ilustrations for Catholic
Newspapers. Tintin was created on Janurary 10th, 1929 and published
in a childrens supplement called Le Petit Vingetieme. By the time
Tintin's first adventure was finished, Belgium was already
captivated by Tintin and Herge and soon, would captivate the
world.
