Private candidate doesn't need the school's consent

This friend of mine is going to take EL Lit for o level as private. Does she need the school's consent? The school don't offer EL lit

Also, for o level. Can lit be even replaced for Mother tongue?? she is not taking HMT.

Depending on where she goes. JC needs mother tongue while poly don't.

If shes still a student in sec sch, she shld inform the school and arrange to have the results combined into 1 cert cos O's results in 2 certs is not as valuable as O's in 1 cert.

If the school does not allow it, i believe they will allow certain arrangement to be made for the student to take the subject.

In the past i had friends who take certain subjects outside sch but whether they went to another sch or did it in private i am unsure.
