Hi guys, I will be sitting for my O levels Chinese paper this
November. For some reason or other, I feel a sense of anxiety. You
see, I can comprehend chinese characters and passages, etc. The
problem with me is that whenever I have to read chinese-related
works, I have to take some time to process the meaning in my head.
So, to equip myself with expected standard of Chinese required of a
student at my age, I decided to go through my chinese vocabulary
handbook dating back to the sec 1 syllabus. It's a tedious job I
confess. But what else can I do? Chinese paper these days test
you on subjects beyond the textbook content. This means the paper
you are taking may not contain chinese vocab you've learnt over the
past 4/5 years. You just have to get more exposure and such.
Teachers try to help but sometimes they can't really do much. And
yea, my chinese essay isn't perfect but i want to write a good one
and not just submit a work of mediocre standard up. This
problem has been ferreting me day and night and I swear there
are times when the thought of having difficulty with the
paper simply just pops into my mind. Please do advise on
what measures I do take... for I just hate this shortcoming of
mine.
Thanks.
