hello all, im taking my A lvls this year and im frm cj.
let me share my experience.
in jc
if u join a sport cca, which i did, with 3 or 4 times a week
training, ur life is friggin hectic.
let me be honest with you, if ure not smart, don't go jc, because i
have classmates who are damn hardworking, but they just cant absorb
at the fast pace, who are flunking. really go poly, u stand a much
better chance.
also, even for smart people, if hardworking, jc will be stressful
for you.
if ur smart but last minute time, ( me) yes its true, jc life is
worse than hell, seriously, its super stressful, last time when i
was taking my Os and my teacher said, u all shld consider going
poly, coz A lvl is gonna be the worst exam u'll ever take, i
thought to myself" aiya how stressful also cannot be so
stressful"
IT IS REALLY STRESSFUL. esp when ur prelims are near, u know nuts
about certain things, or u haven't grasp concepts, coz everything
is really going damn fast, esp if u are the last minute worker,
u'll be in deep shit, coz everything is linked. it takes some time
a grasp a certain concept, but after that u still have to link it
to other concepts, and stuff.
its really not as simple a OS.
let me give u a good and practical example.
in O lvl, i only need to learn 5 organic reactions.
in A lvl i need to learn over a 100 and link them all up.
don't forget, organic chem is just one of the small components of
the chem paper. there's still alot of shit to learn.
i hope my insight has better informed you into making the right
choices.
