davidche SG hello anyone has done any assesments or read any guide books for the O lvls examination that is worth recomending? Besides the 5 year series of course. Subjects: chemistry, physics, geography, biology.
Darkness_hacker99 SG For Chemistry, the most comprehensive guide book I have is this one. Of course I will not limit myself to just one book. I have a huge array of Chemistry and Biology guide and assessment books. While for the Biology, I feel that these two are quite informative as well.
Darkness_hacker99 SG For Physics and Geography, I guess must wait for other forumer who have can provide some advice.
davidche SG Cool... are they still out for sale or not? And sometimes worry that its old syllabus leh Where do you normally buy these kinda books? Popular? Oh and thx for your advice! I see that you only take Chem and Bio.
Darkness_hacker99 SG My combination is EMath, Combine humanities (SS, Geo), English. I specialized in O level POA, Chemistry and Biology. I bought my those guide books at Popular Well the syllabus is quite similar even if it's changed.
davidche SG Dunno why my pure phy teacher say that theres no more physics TYS due to some copy right issues but i still see them in the market leh... I saw one is 1997-2006 new one, not second hand.
Y_Shun SG if u are hardworking....get 1-2 and start practising lor. some of the topics still the same.
Y_Shun SG IMO, the redspot guide no use one... the cambridge guide still ok..straightforward. alot better than the textbook.
davidche SG 2008 i dont get it why? even if i buy tys the next year, ill still be doing the same year papers just that maybe tehres one more 2007 paper to do thats all what.... The syllabus of the previous years eg 1998-2006 still remains the same "outdated" syllabus no change.
Darkness_hacker99 SG The Cambridge guide included far more contents than the required in the syllabus.
davidche SG You're commenting or Darkie's post issit? Why do you say Redspot guide is no good ah? I see a lot of them on the shelves leh. Only thing is that they arent authenticated by MOE....(as in with the circle thingy) so i dont know what syllabus it is at all, or what year stuffs..
Scania N113CRB luver SG Geog & SS from this publisher also good. Quite comprehensive and detailed . Not to mention its attractive colourful info that makes you wanna study instead of getting bored just by looking at notes.
