As you know in the news recently there was a story about an MOE
scholar who was caught in UK because he downloaded child p0rn.
I dont really understand this.
I think, there is a difference between what a person does in his
private sphere, and what he does in the public sphere.
And there is a difference between a fantasy and the real
world.
For example,
I play computer game.
This computer game is a shooting game.
It is violent.
But, it is only a fantasy and it is unreal.
Unless if I go out and actually shoot people in the street, what
I do with my computer in my spare time, is my personal business and
does not harm anybody.
This case is the same in my opinion.
Unless he goes out and molest little children (which I would
support stringent punishment), then, to me, this is a law which
regulates people's minds, and regulates what a person can or cannot
fantasize.
This seems a little odd.

What do you think about this law, and do you understand the
logic and philosophy behind it ?
