unclebutcher SG wa last time sji can wear track shoes? cool. 240 very nerdy meh...i think this yr its closer to 245... and since affiliated schools can go in with 229, i think there is a good mix of people in sji. there are the nerdy ones la...but i guess the general population is not. anyone had lui seng chong as principal? wa he still is and was my principal. every monday was a big torture. he would ramble on and on and on even after the bell rang and repeating"i urge you" every few words....haizzz and founders day and whatever ceremonious day when he talks we would time... i still remember last yr it was 12 mins for founders day ^ ^

Rock^Star SG Ha is it? Bro Paul was my principal all the way. Lui is an educator at heart. My friends tell me very positive things about him. He was a non catholic but converted after he became the principal........

unclebutcher SG yes...agreed....his speeches are really long... and he sorta embarrased himself at speech n grad day last yr...he mispronounced the head prefects name and everyone laughed...though it was supposed to be a solemn event...i prefer bro paul's speeches now...rarely more than 2 mins...haha
sir sickolot II SG after coming out of sji... i found lui to be ok. not the most inspirational of principals... but still one who is willing to make the effort to embrace the job of being an educator. His speeches during my time was terrible la!! haha And as for bro Paul... although he left even before i came into sji... heard many stories about him... how he would bow in front of the class when everyone passed their MT Bi-weekly! I wonder is bi weekly still a norm in sji? all those saturday mornings where u had to do your MT test.. haiz.. those were the fun days

Rock^Star SG Once, I arrived in school at 615 am and walked through the back gate (Esso). As usual, upon reaching the track, I turned right. As I reached the track bend, I just looked around to enjoy the cool and serene morning. Then I saw somethng white on the left bend of the track. It was floating.......and I thought it was a ghost!! But as I got nearer, the "white" thing turned out to be Bro. Paul. I don't blame myself because half the football field all the way to CJ was previously a cemetery.
Rock^Star SG Is Ellen Woo stil around? There was once when we were playing football on the track. She came down for some reason that I forgot. Then, someone miskicked the ball and it hit the back of her head. It was so hilarious! Her haired was permed like a ball and it seemed to many of us like a white ball hitting a black ball. She screamed, "Aiyo!" and then turned around to ask, "Who's that?!?" Nobody admitted and then she walked off in pain.......and embarassment. HAHA! I'm sorry.
