Well, generalisation isn't going to get us anywhere...but pardon
me, I feel that a lot of singaporeans girls are rather
materialistic or "practical" compared to "simpler" foreign
women. Of course, there're exceptions, but they are far
in-between. It's such mentality that turn guys off.
I had a Malaysian colleague who joined us recently, and being in
Singapore for only one month, he asked me why singaporean girls are
so materialistic. I merely replied that such social
issues are a result of our culture, education, and economic
standards.
I believe that while love alone cannot buy bread, money cannot
buy true love and happiness as well. Singaporeans tend to overlook
simplicity as a virtue, and self-satisfaction as the root to
happiness.
I know many Singaporean women will beg to differ, but
ladies, just ask yourself one question. Do you judge how much a
man loves you by the price of your wedding ring?
