There is a very interesting documentary on Art Central every Tue
10pm
This week, the programme predicts how we choose our partners
base on similiarity with our looks and proven totally wrong! haha…
no one want to date someone who look like their brother or
sister.
I suspect the reasons why married couple look more and more like
one another thru time is because of 2 unproven factors:
1. When they keep seeing one another, they begin to learn from
one another’s behaviour as well as their facial expression. Their
brains may also begin to mold their looks to be closer with one
another.
A good experiment is to have 2 baby twin separated when they are
borned. One live with his/her parent while the other with another
parent who looks very difference. After 20 years, I believe that
the other twin living with another parent will look more like them
than his/her real parent.
2. I do believe that the food that they share do have impact on
both their physical body and look. When you live together, you tend
to eat the same food.
A good experiment is to have a group of people separated for
many years, each group eating the same set of food for few years.
This will also be a good study for how cancers and diseases are
affecting us base on the type of food we eat.
They discovered that although many women said that money and
status are not important, they do rate men base on their perception
of how authoritive the men are. In fact, nothing beat height.
Tallest men are most attractive to women than any other
factors.
