Hmmm... speaking of reflections, I chanced upon this meme
thing.
What did you do in 2007 that you hadn't done
before?
Shot beautiful things and beautiful people.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
Nah.
Did anyone close to you die?
Nah. I would like to believe 2006 has taken most of them away from
me.
Did you travel? Where did you go? Best holiday
memory?
Yes, New Year was spent in India, had a short holiday in Bali with
my ex colleagues and traveled to Bangkok on assignment. Best
holiday memory has got to be 3 surfer bodied Balinese strumming
their guitars to a one hit wonder by the 4 Non Blondes,
followed by alcohol induced euphoria behind the crashing waves on
the beach at night, blurred vision, no balance and a total loss of
all basic rationale.
Best thing you bought?
Another L lens for myself.
Where did most of your money go?
Chasing my dreams.
What do you wish you had done more of?
Showed the people I loved that I cared for them.
What do you wish you had done less of?
Let my insecurities get the better of me.
What kept you sane?
Friends and alcohol.
What drove you mad?
Falling in love with selfish men and women.
What made you celebrate?
All moments spent in post coital bliss, listening to Bruce
Springsteen and the sudden awareness that there are many things in
life I do not want to miss out on.
What made you sad?
The above.
Were you in love in 2007?
Too much.
What would you like to have in 2008 that you didn't have
this year?
A real job and being focused. And the discipline to follow through
with my goals.
What date from 2007 will be etched in your memory and
why?
January 24 and it's for the pleasure of my own memory.
What song will remind you of 2007?
All These Things That
I've Done by The Killers
Compared to this time last year are you
happier?
No.
What is the one thing that would have made you more
satisfied?
More *** and more traveling.
How was your birthday this year?
Suffering from rock induced hearing loss with a worthy mate.
Biggest achievement this year?
Getting a license and buying a car.
A valuable life lesson you learnt this year?
That albeit solo now, the view across every place will remain
beautiful as long as I cherish every memory.
