Strange if you ask me, with high wages in Japan, it only takes 10 minutes to earn a Big Mac, whereas it takes at least 1 hour in Singapore.

Eh its cheaper to go japan free n easy...
most japanese knows a bit of english mandatory to learn but little practice n japanese r shy as they afraid they pronounce wrongly tts y there is this awkwardness but japan is a beautiful country, i have been visiting yearly since 2006, sometimes i visit 2 times a year!
people are v v v v friendly
but DO NOT GO by tour group, you will see minimal

if u eat at ippudo value meal is Y1,300 but different places selling differently, if u eat at Ginza of course it is expensive
there are so many places to eat in japan so it is not tt expensive...
there is also kazuo katei, yoshinoya and equivalent...
Rem japanese use fresh ingredients unlike SG...
Choose n read up b4 u go japan, there are lotsa GEMS around waiting to be found in Tokyo...

Tokyo is not expensive, it's just that you are using Singapore pay to spend in Japan.

Ask the Tokyo Mcdonalds' front line staff how much they make an hour.

Ask Australian Mcdonalds' server how much they make an hour.

Singapore is a developedd country with 3rd world wages.
