Hi,
First let me extend my condolences....
I sympathize with you...
In my opinion, there is a way to break your addiction.
I think you gamble because you expect to win, or want to make
lots of money.
In order to break your addiction, I would like to inctroduce to
you a concept called "House Edge"
House Edge basically means that unless you are the gambling
house / gambling boss, there is no way for you to make money.
Suppose you have understood this concept, I think you will see
the futility of your gambles, because there is no way
mathematically for you to make money. It is just not possible.
The more you gamble, the more money you lose.
In simple terms, suppose you flip a coin.
One side of the coin is 50% chance.
But the gambling boss will give you a worse odds than that.
Lets say you bet 1 dollar, if you win you get back 1.90. If you
lose, you lose the 1 dollar.
That is what the gambling house / boss give you.
Let's say you have 10 dollars, so you want to bet 10 times.
Mathematically by the end of the 10 coin flips, you should have
1.9 x (50%x10) = 9.5 dollars.
You just become 50 cents poorer.
If you continue this, you will donate more and more money.
So now you see the futility of gambling.
The only way to win in gambling is if you become a gambling
boss. There is no other way.
Not that I recommend it.
Any other gambling system with a "boss" will make you lose.
Except poker. But you need to study hard to become a pro poker
player. I am not sure whether this is viable. But any other games
other than poker is sheer stupidity.
