know how much woman contributes to the workforce if we
educate them? that's how america won world war ii. the man enlist
(compulsory) for war in europe, the woman stay behind runs the
machines and contribute to economy.
work together for more efficiency! asking woman to stay home is
like divide and conquer... everybody share the load of running the
family is work together
sorry sky, but i cant really tell which side you're on.
whatever it is, your example is very useful to my case.
America won the war, because each gender played a different role
to complement the other. While the men were off fighting the war,
the women stayed in the home country supporting the war effort.
If you apply that to a peacetime concept, its similar. If we
want to win, as a society, as a community, then each gender should
play its own part. While the men go out to work and bring the money
back, the women should stay home and support the family. That is how
things are supposed to happen.
What education is doing,
(to use your analogy), is like giving every women a gun, and asking
them to go out and fight together with the men.
And what happens then
?
No one is at home taking
care of the factories (family) and we run out of ammo
(babies). And we lose the war (cos we run out of people when the
replacement rate in Singapore is bloody 1.2%)
