To me, Stomp started out to be a very beneficial thing to do the majority of the people who bothered to read about what happens and what is posted in it. First came the abuse of the cat, which really attracted the public eye to stomp. Then all of a sudden, all these things about JC students having underage s*x under HDB flats came about. then the female girls in the male toilet, then you have the pimps at geylang and joo chiat.

So What purpose does all these actually serve? Issit coz the people who stomp get some free cash or something? or issit possible they want to frame someone they don't like? Stomp is more of a place where foreigners can go to the website and see all the negative things Singaporeans have.The internet is so open now, and everyone can see what everyone is doing. It's just that Stomp forces people to take action although these acts would seem relatively normal in average-day situations. The stomper should take a photo or video of himself, saying that he's spying on someone so he can frame that person. Would anyone do that? To me, Stomp is purely to flame people and getting into trouble with society although normally, we would turn a blind eye to such a thing. If u really see an act of vandalism or something really dangerous, don't freaking stomp it, report it to the police! -,-

Apparently, it's not illegal to take photos of other people in public, with or without permission. There are no personal/individual privacy laws in Singapore.

Sometimes when I see an elderly on the MRT, I would offer to give up my seat for that elderly. However, there are times when the elderly himself rejects my offer for some reason I really cannot fathom. Then the seat will become empty even during peak period, cause nobody around me & the old person would dare sit on the seat.

This is stupid. The MRT is crowded, and yet there's one empty seat there. So I went back and sit on the seat. This makes me wonder: what if a person comes aboard on the next stop, saw me sitting on the piriority seat and the old person standing, takes a picture of me secretly and post it up on stomp?

This is one problem with stomp: the reports we get are mostly, if not all, purely a one-sided report of the whole situation, exegerated and sometime even fabricated.

We are far from perfect beings ourselves. What gives us the rights to kaypoh on what some teenager post on his/her blog?
