I'm very very picky so I'll say 'no'.
That's also because I'm not an expert and I don't know how many
kinds of jade there are and how to tell if one is good quality
(apart from the cracks and translucence part) etc etc... so I tend
to use price as a very very rough gauge... and because I'm not an
expert, generally, I don't dare to place my trust in shops like
Taka Jewellery. In fact, I will only dare to buy from long standing
shops like Poh Heng or On Cheong...
me also no expert mah. me just wear whatever was passed down to me
after grandma passed away.
But thinking of wearing jade again, since now so much older,
dying soon, also no point buying too expensive stuffs. Since
I got no one to pass anything down to, nor want to leave things
behind that will be subject of contention.
But yah. Poh Cheong and On Cheong are old established jewellery
shops. If can afford, will buy from them too.
