Marriage of people of different religions?

What do you think are of people marrying from different religions?

I think that the people in relationships will get to know better the religions of his or her partners who are from a different religion from him or her.

I think the people in relationships with different religions will also feel that the partner is interesting because of their differences.

I think when people who are different can stay together, it is extremely wonderful.

i agree with u that love is boundless so long as it is that one in a million people u found that u will sacrifice by all means no matter how different or far the person is- that is the highest ideal for love and dream of every body.

BUT reality bites - our mentality has become more and more sophisticated with higher and higher materialistic concerns - the burden on man to sustain that kind of sophisticated feelings or romantic ideals become so much greater for the woman who wishes for the golden cloths made in heaven..

divorce is more likely than everlasting union

mentality for materialistic concerns must be overcome first even before one could discuss further into race, language or religion....in all modern cultures now....it is still $ that reigns...too bad...such is the reality

i would want to agree....but what's in the acceptance and compromise or any other general words mostly used and also abused?

BUT AGAIN -

take a short example of the word "Care" - very much used by women. But what is care? what does it involve? how do we get into fulfilling that word? how many levels of care? how many definitions are there to the word "care"? Sure it is a simple word...but women are usually complex and drives multiple levels of connotations in the word that at the end of it....no care is ever enough for most women...esp modern women....

Another mostly used and abused word by women is "Security"....what security? how to achieve maximum security? Or all aspects from financial to .....A to Z? How much involvement? The list of words have endless definitions and levels of meaning for many women - with materialistic mentality.....most women's language carried commercial motives and such perception adds pressure to the world and others..and as all are aware...women needs to be at the centre of attention....that even adds more diaspora to the common men of our recessive world...

Usually one converts. Or both become no religion. Or a very funny type of mixed religion where both gods exist at home.

Hard to maintain a family with 2 different religions. My mum's taoist, dad's buddhist. So I ended up as free thinker. =)

We dun have any altar at home, except that I pay respects to ancestors, sometimes Buddhist type, sometimes Taoist type.
