SINGAPORE: A 26-year-old woman was on Tuesday (Sep 1) charged
with the murder of her husband.
Vivien Teoh Yi Wen, a human resource executive at the Ministry
of Family and Social Development, allegedly killed 33-year-old
Gordon Yeo Han Tong between 11.32pm on Aug 30 and 12.51am the next
day. Mr Yeo was pronounced dead at the couple's Senja Road flat at
1.19am.
Teoh is represented by lawyer Yusfiyanto Yatiman.
A colleague of Teoh's whom Channel NewsAsia spoke to said she
was the "quiet type" and that they "can't imagine her as a
murderer".
The self-employed Yeo and Teoh have a 14-month-old
daughter.
Teoh has been remanded for one week for investigations, and will
next appear in court on Sep 8. If convicted of murder, Teoh could
face the death penalty.
