More than 6,000 employees of Certis CISCO Security will be eligible
for union membership, with immediate effect.
This follows a memorandum of understanding between the security
firm and the Union of Security Employees (USE).
The eligible employees represent 60 per cent of Certis'
workforce.
As part of the MOU, a union-management selected committee will be
set up to promote the welfare and well-being of Certis CISCO staff
who become members of the union.
This will complement the existing process for handling
grievances.
The committee will be supported by an Industrial Relations Officer
of USE.
