3 men charged with paid sex with underage girl back in
court
SINGAPORE: Three men who were charged in court on
April 16 with having paid sex with an underage girl were back in
court on Monday to fix a date for a discovery
conference.
Koh Zi Yang, 29, Pyi Kyaw Han, 31, as well as Kelvin
Peck Yong Li, 21, will be returning to court on June
11.
They were among the first batch of 44 men charged
with having commercial sex with an underage girl.
Koh is believed to have paid S$600 for the girl's sexual services
at Strand Hotel at Bencoolen Street in December 2010.
He is represented by Mr Peter Ong.
Peck, whose lawyer is Mr Anand Nalachandran, allegedly paid her
S$450 for sex at Hotel 81 at Becoolen Street in October 2010.
Pyi, who will be represented by Mr James Sebastian, faced two
charges of paying the girl S$650 on two occasions at Strand Hotel
between December 2010 and January 2011.
The Attorney-General's Chambers also tendered amended charges which
now reflect the name of the underage girl, which was initially
omitted to protect her identity.
If convicted, they could be jailed up to seven years and
fined.
