1) What do you think about this upgrading?

2) Did the HDB have a proper planning for the Lift Upgrading?

3) Did the HDB, REALLY look into the people’s need and problems? When upgrading the lift!

Mainly Hong Lim residents are senior citizen and laymen!
Most of the time, they will only listen and trust the Authority, as most of them are illiterate and they don't know how to see plan!

We have the same case, during the LUP preview there is NO diagram of the plan! They only use talking to explain what is going on and during polling most of us knew there is something wrong!
Residents highlight what they said earlier is different and our plan is different but what the HDB want is ask you to vote yes or no!

* How do you feel, if are staying at the affected units?

HDB will proceed the lift upgrading on 7th Nov 2012, without meeting the residents and answer to our doubt and problems stated in our web, as they always stress there is 75% vote yes, they will go ahead!

"those living units with common corridors can simply closed their windows to prevent such happenings and they jolly well knew that b4 they brought their units.. they are facing or might face such happenings

(fire mischief, etc..) and please lah no lift upgrading will be at the common corridor, it is always near stairway areas...go n do some research b4 comment lah...ok please...lah dun make me laugh ..

if u are not living in such an open interaction balcony.. i think u are right to give such comments...let me tell u... when the lift upgrading is completed with such balcony... it is less than one arm lenght or worst some even less than half arm lenght away from the link bridge...

what is open interaction balcony... that is without roof and windows... so when the LUP is completed, these units are exposed to the public much more easy than b4...

i will like u or those who have had commented to visit pasir ris (481 n 477 - 7th level) b4 giving your sincere comments again...by visiting these two units.. i think u will start to worry like me if u are the resident of such units...and also worry for the family especially an night....when all are asleep and worry also when such happening will come true...(lighted materials landed on the balcony and boom.....fire..)"

btw, my hdb LUP lift broke down has surpass single digits... this month alone, brokedown 3 x times. lift started mid-2012

We residents staying in Serangoon are worst! They are going to built the link bridge just beside the 2/3 windows of the big balcony! 2/3 of the balcony windows can’t open, big risk for balconies without windows/partition! You can easily shake hands with the resident by stretching your hand across the balcony or take anything you want for those balconies without windows! Our side there is neighbours already affected with loan shark splash paint outside their door. What will happen with the link bridge built beside?

Can you find any similar lift upgrading is Singapore? Ridiculous!

During the LUP preview there is no diagram and booklet, except explains from the HDB exhibitors verbally that the link bridge will be built straight and away from our balcony. During the polling we received the booklet and found something wrong that our unit diagram is not there and different! The 5 room unit there is NO WINDOW at the empty wall. This problem was brought up during the polling to the officers and one of the senior resident was told by the officer the link bridge will be building straight instead of Zig Zag!

Upon knowing what happened. We residents had started to write a petition letter to the HDB but to our surprise instead of review what happen, HDB had announce the result immediately the next day of our appeal in the notice board that 75% vote Yes for upgrading but without any Polling Officer details and signature! What do you think about this lift upgrading programme?

Till today HDB refuse to meet the residents that concerns and they still push on with the project that will start this coming 7^th Nov. 2012!
