A CHINESE national who molested an 18-year-old Vietnamese girl
on holiday here was sentenced to four years' jail and six strokes
of the cane on Friday.
Li Yan, 20, a dishwasher, admitted to causing wrongful restraint
to the victim during the molestation at Haig Road on June 30.
A district court heard that the victim was returning to her
sister's block in the early hours when Li followed her into the
lift and said he wanted to have sex with her.
She ignored his advances and said she would call the police.
